Premiere Pro is making it easier and easier to manipulate the color look of a scene. But the right look is something very hard just to pull out of your head. But if you have an image in your library (phone, Adobe, or Lightroom) or can capture it with your camera, the Looks module will grab it and show you how it affects one of its sample images or any photo or clip you care to use. Plus, any one grab will produce a variety of looks that can be applied. Kuler, the original inspiration for Capture lives on in the Colors module. Colors will evaluate the scene and create a harmonized selection of colors. You can tap and point Colors to different areas in the image for different combinations. Artists are taught to always look to nature for the ideal color palette. Colors is just another way to find them. Capture can help out in a lot of ways. What we like the most is the fact that it doesn't supplant the artists eye. But it can make even better use of what it sees. It's another fine example of technology enabling creativity rather than constraining it. Take a look and it may just capture your attention, as well.
