Following a Pattern
Capture has been able to capture and build bitmap patterns for Photoshop since its inception. In the iPad version of Capture's latest release, it will now create vector patterns. There are some limitations. Like Shapes, it's starting out as a single-color tool, but it will turn any shape in your library to a vector pattern. The shape element can be rotated and scaled.
As with many of its recently released mobile apps, Adobe was forthcoming about the roadmap for the Pattern creator's future. Color shapes, of course, are on the way, along with font and type support, which should be very interesting to see, and integration with color themes. You can expect the tool to come calling on the phone version, as well.
