For Icebreaker, nature is equal parts inspiration, purpose, and solution, all in one. Love and respect of the outdoors are at the core of the business, presenting challenges to withstand but also providing the design and materials needed to coexist in all types of environments. Icebreaker takes these naturally occurring materials and evolves them into innovative fabrics that result in some super- comfortable, highly-relevant, and ultra-sustainable clothing lines for men and women. I had the pleasure of wearing a Cool- Lite Steveston Long Sleeve Flannel Shirt this season, and it almost feels wrong to use the word flannel in its description. Unlike department store flannel or hunter's lodge flannel, the Steveston is super soft, and looks more like a dress shirt than something you'll find in the woods. It's texture drapes nicely on the frame, with zero itch. The particular merino blend used in the shirt incorporates TENCEL fibers, derived from the eucalyptus plant, and therefore the most sustainable wood fiber on the planet. The shirt can be worn untucked or tucked for a slightly more formal look. A chest pocket and button closures down the front and at the cu' s certainly make this an o´ ce- appropriate staple. It's versatile temperature control characteristics, however, make it equally suited for the outdoors. For colder climates, you can't beat the Waypoint Crewe Sweater. This classic piece is 100% pure merino wool, and you can tell just by holding it, let alone wearing it. Because it's merino, it feels amazing next to the skin, making it one of the most comfortable sweaters I've ever worn. I'm happy to report that the cut and design of the Waypoint Crewe Sweater also make it one of the nicest looking sweaters I've ever worn. It's tailored without being tight, and comfortable without being baggy. A ribbed next, sleeve cu' s, and bottom hem check all the boxes, but what I really like is the shoulder and upper back fabric texture, which stands out just a little from the rest of the sweater and looks really sharp!
