Apple May Replace Midnight Green with Navy Blue for the iPhone 12 Pro By Mike Peterson Apple could trade out one of its more popular iPhone colors for a new one this year, according to an apparent leak via EverythingApplePro. Max Weinbach of XDA Developers told the YouTube channel that Apple will replace its midnight green color option with a new navy blue shade for this year's 2020 iPhone lineup. Weinbach adds that it'll be the only new color change this year and, since it's replacing midnight green, the Pro lineup will retain four colors to choose from. It isn't clear how Weinbach sourced his information, and EverythingApplePro notes that it doesn't have a perfect record when it comes to Apple leaks. With that being said, he has correctly forecast a number of features for the 2019 iPhone lineup and has been extensively leaking popular Android handset information. Based on the leaked information, EverythingApplePro created a few mockups of the apparent iPhone 12 Pro model expected this year in the new navy blue color. And it is quite a sight to behold. Midnight green has been a popular choice for iPhone buyers this year, but it has proven to be a bit contentious. In any case, a color option other than the standard space gray, silver and gold is never a bad thing. As mentioned earlier, it's likely that the new navy blue option will only apply to this year's "Pro" models. According to the latest rumors, we expect that to include a 6.1-inch and 6.7- inch iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. But rumor has it that Apple will also release a new 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone in the fall of this year. The latter device will presumably be a direct successor to the iPhone 11, while the smaller device could be a cross between an iPhone SE 2 and an iPhone 11 Pro. No matter their size, price or fi nish, this year's iPhones will feature some major upgrades. That includes 5G compatibility in most models, OLED displays across the board, and some nifty new augmented reality and photographic capabilities for the Pro variants. Apple is also expected to release a new iPhone 9 handset in the first half of this year. And while not confirmed, it may actually release two sizes of that model, a move that would bring the total number of new iPhones in 2020 to six.
