AccuVoice AV155 TV Speaker The AccuVoice AV155 TV Speaker is the latest in ZVOX's line of acclaimed external television speakers. The term soundbar doesn't seem to fit perfectly here, and while the AV155 can get loud and create a great music listening experience, it's not intended to rock your socks off and shake the walls. In fact, the AccuVoice AV155 TV Speaker excels at the opposite—increasing the dialog of TV shows and movies, without necessarily cranking the volume. The speaker achieves this feat by featuring six levels of AccuVoice dialog-enhancing technology, letting users pick the perfect level for the situation. Turn it up at night when the rest of the house is asleep, or keep it in the middle during action movies when you still want to hear the boom of each explosion. In addition to the AccuVoice technology, the AV155 also features ZVOX PhaseCue technology. PhaseCue creates a much wider soundstage, reproducing the 3D effects of a multi speaker setup. Or, as ZVOX puts it, "You get a room full of sound without a room full of speakers." This is a real blast, especially when you can turn the volume up, and tricks the ear better than competing sound bars in this price range. The other great software trick packed inside the 3.2 pound AV155 is an Output Leveling feature that maintains the volume across the listening experience—commercials be damned. This honestly sounds like such a small thing, but should be included in every TV ever made. If you have a favorite channel that is a repeat offender of obnoxiously loud commercials, the Output Leveler is a game changer. The small footprint of the AV155 let s it blend in easier than many soundbars, and it f it s well into rooms that aren't necessarily designed around a home theatre experience — I 'm looking at you, Mom. The speaker requires one power cord and a single connection to the T V (either optical or 3.5mm stereo jack), making it easy to hook up. No wireless subwoofers or HDM I ARC ports to worry about .
