While the Caavo Control Center certainly has Logitech's Harmony universal remotes in its crosshairs, it is decidedly more than just a remote. The Caavo promises universal control, universal search, and curated content, all with a streamlined remote and the sound of your voice. Caavo pairs an input switching hub with a voice controlled remote control to create a home theatre experience that is more efficient and less irritating than juggling the half a dozen different remotes that adorn your coffee table. Combining these two pieces of hardware with your existing media devices and a lightweight software overlay is enough to make anyone rethink their current remote loyalties. Add to that the very affordable price point, and it's difficult not to want to at least try the Caavo Control Center + Universal Remote. The Caavo Control Center is a small box a little bigger than a paperback book, but smaller than most cable boxes. The visible portion on the front is a nondescript glossy black with a single power button (which doubles as a remote locator). The back, as you'd expect, is where all the wired connections are situated to link up with any HDMI device that plays media on your TV—including cable TV.
